Distant Drums Floral is an award-winning Sussex-based floral studio, creating bespoke designs with seasonal and British-grown flowers for atmospheric, curated weddings across the south of England.
Named after the rare, warm-toned Distant Drums garden rose, we design immersive, large-scale floral installations and artistic arrangements to reflect your unique vision for your day. We are deeply obsessed with colour theory, texture and structure, sourcing the very best blooms the seasons have to offer to create an unforgettable floral story. Our distinctive work has been featured in publications such as Wedding Sparrow, Ruffled, Rock my Wedding, Love My Dress, The Story Of and more.
We also love to bring brands or events to life through flowers, from brand activations to photoshoots, dinners and parties. Our previous brand and event clients include Lavish Alice, Field Food and Ancient + Brave.
As nature lovers, we’re conscious of our environment.
We source our flowers from British growers as much as possible, and have long-standing relationships with UK flower farmers. In addition, we do not use floral foam or single use plastic in our work, and compost all of our floral waste.
We take on a limited number of weddings and events each year, so when you work with us, you can be sure of our undivided attention. From the first conversation to the big day, we’re here for you.

About Liz
Liz is the owner and lead designer of Distant Drums Floral. Originally from rural Nottinghamshire, she now calls West Sussex home where she lives with her husband, two children and border terrier. With a background in fashion, her design experience and love of English country gardens blend together to inform her floral work.
Liz is always looking to innovate, seeking out new techniques and sourcing unique blooms to fulfil her clients floral dreams and express the beauty in nature.
